dMCGUIREfitness

Are you ready?

We run up the steepest hills , climb the longest stairs and play on the most beautiful beaches San Francisco has to offer.  We provide outdoor fitness classes for everyone - athlete, runner, weekend warrior, work-out rookie.... doesn’t matter - let’s just get you moving. Need to give your current fitness routine a wake up call? This is perfect for you. All fitness levels are welcomed and encouraged. Just show up and give it your best shot. Great people, great energy and a great workout in front of the most beautiful and remote spots in the Bay Area. Bring yourself, bring a friend, step out of your comfort zone and away from the treadmill and give it a try (you’ll be happy you did) !

Class description.

All Class Times:  6:00am - 7:00am

All classes focus on whole body movements with and without weights, intense cardiovascular training and functional resistance training. The exercises are exciting and challenging and can always be modified for all fitness levels. All exercise techniques will be described in detail to provide you with the information you need to move your body safely and correctly. A strong emphasis is placed on correct body alignment and maintaining exceptional posture. Classes will incorporate all components of achieving a healthy and strong body (flexibility, strength, balance, endurance, etc.) in an environment that is encouraging, empowering, motivating and fun.

All weekday classes start at exactly 6:00 am (yes, you read it right). We’re outside in every kind of weather - clear bright skies, rain, heavy fog, gusty winds - no matter what. It’s been my experience that people work harder when the weather is the worst, so there are no excuses and you won’t be cold for long.

I promise.

Tuesday and Thursday - Weight training like never before. Light weights (well, not too light) with high repetitions and whole body movements. Body weight only exercises and a huge focus on balance, correct alignment, core strength and muscular endurance are also included.

Monday and Wednesday - Endurance, agility, sprinting, jumping, core work, long runs, anything goes and anything can happen.

What to bring

-mat or towel

-a set of dumbbells

(5’s, 8’s, 10’s, be brave. We’ll always have extra and heavier).

-water for before, during and after.

-something in your stomach.  Please eat.
